Modelo 790 código 012: the bank’s stamp before the police stamp

Producing the form

The Policía Nacional’s online generator produces the 790-012. Enter your name, your passport or NIE, your address in Spain if you have one, and tick the box for your procedure: assignment of a NIE, the registration certificate of an EU citizen, a first TIE, a renewal, a return authorisation, and so on. Then print it, or keep it to pay online, and only then book the cita previa for Navarra.

Of everything on the form, the box matters most. A slip paid for the wrong procedure does not cover the right one.

Paying, and the bank’s stamp

Pay at a bank that accepts the form, where your copy is stamped at the counter, or electronically where the generator offers it. Either way, keep the copy marked as paid, stamped by the bank or matched by the receipt of the online payment. On a credential, this is the first stamp of the stage, and it comes from your bank.

One slip for each person and each procedure

Every applicant pays their own fee, and each slip serves for a single procedure. A family booking the toma de huellas for three TIE cards generates three forms, one in each name.

Paid in error, or paid twice

Refunds of fees (devoluciones de tasas) are listed by the Delegación del Gobierno with the police section it calls Unidad de Documentación de Extranjeros, at Avenida de Guipúzcoa 40 (pamplona.udeye@policia.es), and with the Comisaría de Tudela (tudela.docuextra@policia.es). Keep the paid copy and a note of what went wrong together, and write to the section before you book anything.

The Oficina Única uses other codes

Authorisations decided by the Oficina Única de Extranjería, such as residence and work, family reunification or a renewal of non-lucrative residence, are paid on other codes of the same model, 790 código 052 and código 062, which the Oficina links from its page. Once an authorisation is granted and you move on to the card, the police fee returns with the 012.
